Frequently Asked Questions

An outdoor spa offers a significantly more versatile and convenient experience than a traditional hot tub. The water in a spa remains consistently warm and clean thanks to efficient filtration, and there’s no need to change the water after every use.

It is recommended to change the water 2–3 times per year, i.e., every 4–6 months, depending on usage and water maintenance.

Consider the size of the spa, your usage needs, installation location, electrical requirements, energy consumption, optional accessories, and maintenance needs.

Key maintenance tasks include water care, cleaning and replacing filters, and cleaning the surfaces and piping during water changes.

The spa is conveniently emptied using a submersible pump.

Spas come with a 10-year frame warranty, a 5-year warranty against shell material and manufacturing defects, and a 2-year warranty for the technology and other components. Certain consumables have a 6-month warranty.

Typically, a 3 x 16 A electrical connection is required. An optional additional heater needs its own 1 x 16 A connection. All electrical work must be performed by a certified electrician.

According to tests by Tampere University, the average electricity consumption of a Novitek spa in “Ready” mode is about 6–7 kWh per day. For weekly one-hour family use with jets running for 30 minutes, annual consumption is about 2500 kWh. With more frequent use (3 times a week, 2 hours per session), annual consumption can rise to around 3400 kWh. Average monthly electricity cost is about 20–50 euros, depending on usage and local electricity prices.

Yes, but access panels must be made on each side of the spa unless factory-installed embedding paneling is included. The maximum embedding depth is 40 cm from the bottom of the spa.

In a power outage, do not open the spa’s insulated cover. Heating and circulation will temporarily stop, but a well-insulated spa retains heat for several hours. The spa will automatically restart once power is restored. Check the spa’s functions and water temperature afterward. Short outages (from a few minutes to a few hours) do not affect spa operation. Freezing only becomes a risk after multiple days without power.

The spa can be placed on a flat and stable surface such as a terrace, gravel bed, or concrete slab. The foundation must be strong enough to support the weight.

Spas use highly effective PIR insulation, enabling year-round use even in severe frost.

Regular water treatment, filter cleaning and replacement, occasional water changes, and surface cleaning are necessary.

Ensure the cover is securely closed to retain heat and cleanliness. Also, check water quality regularly.
