Your guide to choosing an outdoor hot tub

When selecting an outdoor hot tub, there are many factors to consider – from style to technical details. Fortunately, Novitek pools combine reason and emotion – and our experts will assist you from start to finish! In this buyer’s guide, you’ll find answers to the most common questions.

Why choose an outdoor hot tub?

Using an outdoor hot tub relaxes both body and mind. The massaging jets relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce stress. A relaxing moment in warm water also enhances sleep quality and overall well-being.

Novitek’s outdoor hot tubs are designed to be easy and effortless to use. The tub automatically maintains the water temperature, and water care is simple thanks to the filtration system.

An outdoor hot tub provides the perfect setting for spending time with family and friends. It’s a shared space for relaxation, where everyday worries fade away and meaningful moments are created.

Why choose Novitek?

Novitek’s outdoor hot tubs are manufactured in Finland for Nordic conditions. Every detail is carefully designed to combine practicality and beauty. The tubs are built to withstand even the harshest climates.

Novitek offers a comprehensive and clear warranty that ensures peace of mind for years to come. The durable aluminum frame of the tub comes with a 10-year warranty against deformation and warping. The high-quality acrylic shell has a 5-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. Additionally, the ABS base, composite exterior panels, and insulation are covered by a 2-year warranty against changes, cracking, and mold.

The tub’s plumbing, fittings, and jets are protected by a 2-year warranty against leaks, as are the massage and filter pumps, control system, heater, display, LED lights, and plastic parts for potential manufacturing or material defects. Smaller wear-and-tear items such as headrests, UV sanitizing lamp, insulated cover, and its locks come with a 6-month warranty.

Novitek’s extensive service network ensures fast and expert help with any issues, keeping your hot tub experience enjoyable and worry-free year-round.

Thanks to innovative PIR insulation, Novitek hot tubs are among the most energy-efficient on the market. Environmentally friendly and recyclable materials are used in the manufacturing process.

What kind of foundation does a hot tub require?

A Novitek hot tub can be installed directly on a durable, level deck or on a solid base such as a gravel bed, concrete slab, or paving stones. A separate concrete pour is usually not necessary unless the installation surface is uneven or unstable.

If the hot tub is recessed into a deck, separate service hatches must be created on each side of the tub. These hatches should allow easy access to the side panels and provide sufficient space around the tub for maintenance and repair work. If factory-installed two piece-paneling is selected as an accessory, no additional service hatches are needed. Please note that the maximum recess depth should not exceed 40 cm from the bottom of the tub to the top surface of the deck.

How is the hot tub delivered and moved into place?

A Novitek outdoor hot tub is typically delivered in an upright position, unloaded from the tailgate directly to your yard or cottage. Moving the tub to its final location is easy with the help of a crane, forklift, or several people. Professional assistance is recommended during the placement process.

To move the tub to its final location, it must be lifted off the pallet either on its side or carefully turned into a horizontal position. Lifting straps can be used, but sliding or dragging the tub across the ground is not allowed. Ensure there are enough people to carry the tub safely or use a loading crane if needed. Professional help is recommended to ensure safe transportation without damaging the tub.

How is the hot tub connected?

All Novitek outdoor hot tubs are primarily connected with a 3 x 16A electrical setup. Only a certified electrician is permitted to perform the installation. The tub must be connected to a power supply with a residual current device (RCD). Electrical cables can be routed into the tub through any corner of the exterior panel or through the lifting strap groove in the base.

The side of the tub where the control unit is located is clearly marked. During installation, wire insulation should be stripped about 20 mm, and the grounding connection must be properly secured. The wiring order is always clearly labeled inside the control unit next to the terminal blocks.

If a factory-installed additional heater has been selected, it requires a separate power connection. The additional heater is always connected to its own 1 x 16A (230V) power source.

The tubs’ efficient heating systems warm the water quickly and energy-efficiently to a comfortable bathing temperature, making your hot tub ready to enjoy year-round.

What if problems arise – where can I get help?

Novitek provides a comprehensive domestic customer service and maintenance network, offering quick assistance for any issues or questions throughout the entire lifespan of your hot tub.

How do I keep the hot tub water clean?

The water stays clear thanks to Novitek’s filtration system and UV purification*. However, chemical treatment is also necessary. The water in your tub should typically be changed every 4–6 months, depending on usage.

To keep the water as clean and pleasant as possible, it’s important for bathers to shower and wash thoroughly before entering the hot tub. This minimizes the introduction of impurities like cosmetics, sunscreen, and natural skin oils into the water. This practice makes water care easier, reduces the need for chemicals, and enhances the bathing experience.

You can find all the necessary water care supplies and chemicals in Novitek’s official online store.

The tub uses efficient, domestic fiber filters that are easy to clean by rinsing with water. Filters should be cleaned thoroughly every 4–6 weeks and replaced with new ones at each water change. We recommend using two filters alternately, so you always have a clean filter ready to go. This routine simplifies tub maintenance and ensures the water stays consistently clear and clean.

Filters and other maintenance supplies are available from Novitek’s official online store.
