Hot tub water care step by step – follow these instructions

Modern solutions, up-to-date technology, and carefully selected products make water maintenance simple and stress-free. By choosing a Novitek outdoor hot tub, you can trust that water cleanliness and quality are always top-notch. Our purification system, combined with water care products, ensures the best possible bathing experience for you, your family, and your friends whenever you feel like taking a dip.

These water care tips apply to all hot tubs in the Novitek range.

1. Start by Measuring the Values

Begin your hot tub water care routine by testing the water. Regular water quality testing ensures your spa stays clean, safe, and pleasant to use. 3-in-1 test strips quickly and accurately reveal the pH level, chlorine content, and alkalinity. You can also use the Novitek chlorine or oxygen tester for this step.

2. Check the Correct pH

For effective water care, the pH should be within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. The right pH level ensures the water feels good on the skin and eyes, and also helps the treatment chemicals work more efficiently. Use Novitek pH-Plus products to raise the level or pH-Minus to lower it.

3. Add Water Treatment Products Based on Usage

If you use your hot tub occasionally, chlorine can be conveniently dosed using a chemical dispenser designed for domestic fiber filters. You can place slow-dissolving chlorine tablets in the dispenser to keep the water clean over time.

5. Älä unohda alkalia

If water testing shows low alkalinity, it’s important to adjust it using Alkali+ product. This helps maintain the water’s chemical balance.

7. Always Shower Before Using the Hot Tub

Always take a shower before getting into the hot tub! This reduces contaminants in the water, helping keep it clear and minimizing chemical use.

6.Clean the Fiber Filter

The hot tub’s fiber filter should be rinsed or cleaned once a month to effectively remove impurities from the water. We recommend alternating between two filters—while one is in use, the other can be cleaned or drying. A deep-cleaning filter detergent is ideal for cleaning fiber filters.

8. Shokkiklooraa allasvesi tarvittaessa

Shock chlorination is an effective way to restore water clarity, for example, after a party. It removes impurities and bacteria that can cause cloudiness. Before shock chlorinating, ensure the pH level is within the recommended range.

For shock treatment, add up to three times the normal chlorine dose. Run the jets and keep the cover open to let excess chlorine evaporate. Do not use the tub until chlorine levels return to a safe range.

Novitek Utilizes Advanced Technology

Novitek outdoor hot tubs make use of advanced technology that makes water care even more effortless. The tubs feature sophisticated, fully automated filtration systems that efficiently purify the water without constant attention. This filtration technology is capable of removing even the tiniest impurities and bacteria, reducing the need for chemicals and maintaining water cleanliness over time.

This not only enhances the bathing experience but also lowers maintenance requirements and operational costs.

The result is a better spa experience, easier maintenance, and reduced running expenses.
